Security Enhancements & Special Voting
A proposed community initiative focused on improving visibility, safety, and perimeter security within Summit Estates.
About
Summit Estates is a residential community defined by pride of ownership, scenic hillside surroundings, and a shared commitment to preserving the character of the neighborhood. Our homeowners value safety, stewardship, and the quiet, upscale rhythm of life in the Anaheim Hills foothills.
The Association works to protect these values through transparent governance, careful planning, and thoughtful improvements to the community's shared spaces and perimeter.
Project Overview
The Board of Directors is proposing the first phase of a broader perimeter security enhancement initiative focused on improving nighttime visibility and strengthening vulnerable perimeter areas within the community.
As part of this first phase, the Association is proposing the installation of three decorative perimeter streetlights along Bluesky Way near the hiking trail access area — a location identified as a vulnerable perimeter section due to limited lighting and direct accessibility from outside the community.
Improved Nighttime Visibility
Warm, low-glare lighting in historically dark perimeter areas.
Resident & Pedestrian Safety
Safer evening walks along the Bluesky Way corridor.
Deter Trespassing
Increased visibility discourages unauthorized perimeter access.
Trail Corridor Visibility
Light along the hiking trail interface where the community meets open space.
Long-Term Security Planning
Phase one of a thoughtful, community-wide perimeter strategy.
Location
The Bluesky Way perimeter is one of the darkest sections of the Association, adjacent to an open trail corridor. Residents and security personnel have identified the area as a concern due to limited nighttime visibility and accessibility from outside the community.
